Data Sources & Legal Notice

1. Who we are
korufleet.com is operated by Koru Projects, Spain. Contact: support@korufleet.com.
2. Independence
Koru Fleet is an independent analysis service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any tracking platform, event organiser or class association. Platform and event names are used solely to identify the races our analysis refers to (nominative use). All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
3. Where our data comes from
Our analysis is based on publicly accessible sporting facts: the latitude, longitude and timestamp of boats competing in public races, as displayed on the public, unauthenticated event pages of tracking platforms.
- No security measures are circumvented. We access only content that the platforms deliver to any visitor's browser without login, payment or consent barrier.
- No credentials are used. We do not access private, paywalled or password-protected areas of any platform.
- Facts, not works. GPS coordinates and timestamps are facts about a public sporting event. Facts are not protected by copyright (art. 10(2) WIPO Copyright Treaty; arts. 3 and 5 of Directive 96/9/EC; art. 12 of the Spanish Intellectual Property Law, RDL 1/1996).
- Individualised scope. We retrieve the data of specific races to produce a specific analysis for a specific customer, not platform-scale extraction of any database (arts. 7(1) and 8(1) of Directive 96/9/EC).
4. What we do (and do not) deliver
What we sell is our own work: statistical analysis, performance metrics, charts and reports computed by our analysis engine. Our reports are original derived works, not copies.
- We do not redistribute raw tracking data, data feeds or bulk downloads.
- We do not mirror, republish or resell any platform's database, replay or user experience.
- We do not offer live tracking. Our reports are post-race analysis.
5. Personal data in reports
Reports refer to boats by their public sporting identity (boat name / sail number) in the context of a public competition. Information the sailing community, media and results services already publish. We process it on the basis of legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in sports analysis and reporting. If you are a competitor and object to appearing in our reports, contact us and we will assess your request under applicable law.
6. Objections and takedown
If you are a platform operator, event organiser or rights holder and believe any of our coverage affects your rights, write to support@korufleet.com with the event and the basis of your objection. We review every notice in good faith and respond promptly. Coverage of any event or platform may be adjusted or withdrawn as described in our Terms of Service.
